Are you having family and friends over for the holidays? Make a great first impression as soon as guests walk in with this simple trick to make your house smell amazing all day long.
Create a simmer pot full of festive scents.
There’s a lot of ingredients you can use for this. You can use a crockpot or regular pot on the stovetop. If you have kids, it may be best to use a crockpot.
We lean towards spices and herbs – those rich scents that you find in seasonal candles. Essentially you are creating a Potpourri.
It’s really as simple as filling a pot with water, adding a few spices and herbs, and bringing the whole thing to a simmer. Let it lazily simmer on the stove, and the smell will fill your kitchen and your home.
Take your pick from this list of common mixings. These can all be found at your local grocery store. They are pretty cheap to and you may even have them in your pantry already!
